Sexual Harassment Prevention for Businesses

Sexual harassment prevention has always been critical in business; however, in today's environment, the heightened awareness of harassment in the workplace makes education and prevention even more important.  Videos that employees watch as part of employee on-boarding simply don't cut it:  we have always believed that sessions that include real-life examples of (potential) harassment combined with discussions around what our attendees have seen and experienced in their own careers are far more compelling than any video could ever be.

This training session presents an overview of Sexual Harassment law - discussing Quid Pro Quo and Hostile Work Environment - and the potential liabilities for both the company and the individual manager. The training educates attendees on their responsibilities as a manager, and takes them through the potential repercussions for failing to address and / or prevent sexual harassment in the workplace (litigation costs, short-term and long-term effects in the workplace, impact on individual employees).  A couple of key learnings: 1. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse, and 2. "Not Knowing" it was happening will not remove liability in most cases.
